Christmas Event | 24 – 26 of December
Hello my beloved fans and Anti-Destroth people of Granado Espada!
This Special Entry is about the wonderful event held by IAH Games to all those creative minds of Granado Espada.
The Christmas Event:
First of, let me begin by quoting the Event information:
Christmas In-Game Event: Naughty or Nice? Date: 24th to 26th December 2007 Time: 1700hrs to 2200hrs Server(s): All Date: 24th ~ 26th December 2007 Time: Cervantes 1700 – 1800 (GMT +8) Carracci 1800 – 1900 (GMT +8) Caravaggio 1900 – 2000 (GMT +8) Pachelbel 2000 – 2100 (GMT +8) Vivaldi 2100 – 2200 (GMT +8) Server(s): Cervantes, Carracci, Caravaggio, Pachelbel, Vivaldi Channel(s): 1 —————————————————————————————————————- Santa Claus is in town! It’s that time of the year again where Santa pays a visit to Granado Espada and he is on the lookout for who has been naughty or nice. Part 1: Make A Wish! Post your wishes on the forum and be as creative as possible in expressing why you want those wishes to come true! You can express these wishes creatively via fan art, poems, videos, comics, screenshots, real life photos or various humorous methods. You can submit up to a maximum of 3 wishes, either as 3 separate posts or all 3 wishes in one post. Please also leave your family name and server in your forum entry. Cervantes folks: Please submit your wishes here. Carracci folks: Please submit your wishes here. Caravaggio folks: Please submit your wishes here. Pachelbel folks: Please submit your wishes here. Vivaldi folks: Please submit your wishes here. Part 2: So… Have You Been Naughty Or Nice? Santa Claus will be visiting Granado Espada between 24th ~ 26th December 2007 to look for the folks who have impressed him on the forums. He will announce his presence to the entire world with holiday greetings. When he is about to grant wishes, he will appear in front of XXX family and broadcast to the entire world: “So… XXX Family, have you been naughty or nice?” If XXX family is online and not in AFK mode, XXX Family must then reply Santa Claus either through public chat or broadcast. Santa will then grant XXX Family one of his three wishes! Discuss this event here. * * * * * Event FAQ Q: Can everyone take part in this event? Yes, everyone can take part. Q: Do we need to register for the event? Yes, you will need to post your wishes on the forum. The cutoff date for posting wishes is 26 December 2007, Wednesday, 1600hrs (GMT+8). However, please try to post your wishes early. We hear that Santa likes early wishers to add to his ‘Nice’ list. Q: Do we need a Squad to take part in this event? No, this is an individual player event. Q: How many zones are related to this event? Everywhere and anywhere! Santa Claus will find a way to appear in front of you, regardless of where you are! Q: What are the available rewards? The sky’s the limit! You can wish for whatever you like ” whether we grant those wishes is another thing. A little hint is to try to make those wishes realistic in order to get a higher chance of them being granted. (Wishing for infinity wishes or 1000000000000 Elite Level 100 equipment would probably piss Santa off and we won’t want that now, do we?) Other than in-game items, you can also wish for other miscellaneous things like spawning 100 rabbits at your favourite town or posting an interview with you on our official website. Q: How can I increase my chances of my wishes getting granted? Be creative in expressing your wishes! Be nice on the forums! Q: So what happens if I have been really naughty in Granado Espada and on the forums? I don’t know… but there is a rumor going around that Santa Claus’ evil twin, Santa The Cursed may be sending his minions to these naughty boys and girls! Disclaimer: Event Mechanics, Timings and/or FAQ are subject to change, depending on circumstances. ———– Reference: http://ge.iahgames.com/en/news/?aid=433&sec=1&ssec=4 ———————————————————As stated above, the event took place on the 24th, 25th and tomorrow the 26th.
Surprisingly enough player were VERY eager for the Event to start! And that counts me as well as I waked up 1 hour before (7:00am GMT-4) the event… only a 4 hour sleep.
The thread about this event and all the wishes can be found in this section

Now for the Pachelbel Wishes thread, which is the only one I can talk about because I play there, can be found here.

As you can see many people posted wishlist with barely any creativity thinking that the event wasn’t going to take place or that it was going to be something sucky. When they first saw the winners on the 24th they began to rush to put more stuff.
I call this “Rushed Creativity” which is not bad, but it shows how far you canpush or barely push your brain to do something.
Now about the winners … about those I remember – Not in Order.
On the 24th of December:
- Oversizedmeat
- Arconis
- *cough* Normanizeich *cough*
- Illumino
- Icarus
- Vlack
- Yatsushiro
- MuZu
- MaximunImpacT
- TImebomB
- And a few others I don’t remember
Winners on the 25th of December: No Idea… I went to bed at 5am and woke up at 12pm… so the event finished a looong time ago.
Now my personal opinion about the event:
In my opinion the event was nice, though I see some people complaining in forums for the 25th event not being well done, but the 24th event was neat. It is nice to give players, especially the poor ones such as me, the opportunity to get something of high value to survive in these upper levels. But one thing bothered me though. People simply don’t read instructions, and I thought I never read them, but most players of Granado Espada sure beat me to it as many people simply posted their wishlists.
This is what Hrin Posted after all those wishlist stuff: Link
Now, there were certain things that I didn’t liked, but I’m not complaining… much, and I’d like answer of why it was like that.
First of, my wishes and many wishes of many people.
I wished for a LeNoir armor for the Wizard and the Elementalist (female), and sunglasses… but those don’t matter. But after I wished for LeNoir, I got something totally different from it. I got LeBlanc for Elementalist (female).
Arconis had the same problem. She asked for LeBlanc for fighter and/or Scout and she got for Elementalist.
I have to say I am not completely pleased about it, but hey, it is a freaking hard to get armor! So… yeah I think I am kinda happy with it even though it is not what I wished for. But I do hope for the next event that is similar to this, the GMs really get to know the stuff in-game.
But overall, the event was nice… from my perspective.
Any message for the winners? Eh… Good Job I guess…
For those unlucky people? Hm… read instructions. And even if Hrin ignores your questions (like mine), ask other people.
Now… EVENT PICTURES!! WEEEEEE!!!
….FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!
(merry christmas in Spanish)
